The rules of this game varies from region to region. While in most cases the basic intention of winning the game remains similar, the number of holes, circles differ and some places it is played without a board by drawing circles on the soil or the ground. Some places they are found as excavated pits, whereas some people play the game on a wooden board as the one showed in the image. This particular rule has been documented from Professor Priya Sangameswaran.
